BATTERY LIFE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ADD BATTERIES. Two coin cells will last 1-2 years under normal operation. You can easily add 4 AA batteries for 10 years of worry free use. Under normal use four AA batteries will last the life of the unit. Our latest revision incorporates new mini coin cell batteries already attached to the board rated 1-2 years.

NO CAMERA DISABLE TIME: Deer cameras miss deer and most importantly following bucks because they have to disable themselves after taking a picture. If you set the disable too short, your unit is going to affect the deer with too many pictures. If you set the disable too long then there's stuff happening in front of your camera that your camera is clueless to. That approach just doesn't cut it any more. Your deer camera will never be disabled again. Your xlp stalker pays very close attention absolutely all the time. Do you want to continue with that disabled 'BLIND SPOT' in your scouting.? You don't have to anymore with the xlp stalker based on our AUTOMATIC EVENT SENSITIVE CONTROL SWITCHING SYSTEM that will always be exclusive to the xlp controller card.

CAPTURE ALL THE DEER PRESENT; in stealth mode the unit is far more likely to capture all the deer present. That first deer that comes into to zone is a very important deer to the accuracy of your scouting. The sounds, motions and body language of that first deer is what tells following deer and by-standers there is nothing out of place at the subject zone which tells them to mosey on in along side the first deer. The XLP stealth mode allows that first deer to relax and begin feeding so it cannot assume an aggressive stance which also encourages rival deer and bucks to come in.

EXTENDS TIME OF FIELD USE AT A FEEDING LOCATION: While in Stealh Mode, unit extends camera battery and media in the camera by taking essential pictures only, no flash refresh required, and stealth mode for extended field use ten times what conventional deer cameras can.. With far less human scent or intervention, your scouting accuracy just went way up. Excellent for those deep woods hard to get to locations, deer census and out of town hunting spots.

CAPTURE MORE DEEP WOODS WARY BUCKS BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE TO CHECK YOUR UNIT AS OFTEN: Because of conservative use of batteries and media you don’t have to disturb the area near as often. You will capture more deer in circumstances where human presence is a negative factor. (Behind the barn, human presence is not a factor). In the deep woods it is something to be concerned about.

YOU CAN SET YOUR UNIT DEEPER IN THE WOODS: Your unit is more secure deeper in the woods, and people will not see you going in there on a regular basis. When set to take essential scouting pictures the deer whisperer unit will more often capture all the deer present for each visit and last 10 times longer than any other unit on the market set to get the same coverage.Actually you can’t set any other deer camera to get the same coverage and accuracy as an XLP will.

FAST RESET: Captures deer on a trail without taking too many pictures of each deer. As each deer passes through the subject zone the unit is ready for the next deer in under 10 seconds.

STEALTH MODE WAITS FOR CALM DEER AND GETS CLOSE PICTURES: Stealth mode waits for deer to be at ease before taking the first picture, far less disturbance to the deer especially when the deer subject is being very cautious, nervous or panicky. You can set up within 3 feet of your camera now and no picture will be taken until the deer is that close. and at ease that close. You get more pictures on average as the deer stay longer on average in stealth mode. And of course more likely to catch all the deer present as mentioned earlier. And especially useful to get a good picture of a buck and more than one picture of that buck, because the unit waits until he comes right into the feeding area and begins feeding before taking the first picture. And more likely to return to the feeding area because if he is not’ calm enough for a picture, no picture will be taken. He has no reason not to come back..

COLD WEATHER AND LOW BATTERY OPERATION CAPTURES DEER UNTIL CAMERA BATTERIES ARE COMPLETELY DEAD. When operating controller cards in freezing temperatures or when the camera batteries are low, will decrease the time to take a picture. The XLP controller circuit while in Stealth Mode will attempt to take further pictures, since it already charged the flash until, it is ready for the next immediate picture upon movement. When set to Immediate mode on the XLP board you can expect varied time delays depending on the camera you are using, average times are 1.5 seconds & up. And the unit is fully charged and ready for any following deer again in under 10 seconds

NO FLASH REFRESH REQUIRED IN STEALTH MODE: In stealth mode a flash refresh is not required. The unit readies itself for the first picture when the deer arrives. Extends camera battery life significantly. Ensures full and faster flash when photo is taken.

EXCELLENT FOR TAKING DAYTIME MOVIES: The XLP will provide far greater coverage of all the deer present at a deer visit. When set in stealth mode with a medium timer setting set the unit for single movie per deer visit and you will be taking that movie when more deer are present in front of the camera.

ALL INTERNAL SWITCHES: There are all internal protected switches however it includes wiring ports for an external on/off switch. An external connection is also available for mounting LED on the outside of the enclosure. On board LED for demonstration of operation for identifying selections made. Independent power supplies for sensor and control board eliminates false triggers due to low battery.

3 DYNAMIC TIMER SETTINGS: 3 dynamic timer settings allow the user to select the number of photos or movies the user feels is essential for good coverage. From 1 in single mode to several per minute as required. These settings also determine how fast the unit is ready for following deer. 30 seconds.

LARGER FLASH HOLE: A much smaller sensor aperture provides a stronger case structure and allows for a larger flash hole. This increases the range of the flash making it less necessary for a slave flash. Also far less noticeable than the conventional 1" fresnel lens, more area of camouflage.

3 STEALTH SETTINGS: 3 stealth settings allow the user to select how calm the deer must be before taking that first picture. Stealth operation eliminates ‘deer shock’ completely. These settings also determine how fast the unit is ready for the next deer. 7-20 seconds.

END TO END WALK TEST: Scope out your zone using detection right through to camera operation and flash. Don't waste time with an led walk test, you always do a system test before you leave anyway.. and this way when you leave you know the camera is set correctly and your selected settings are what you want. (but note, you can install an led on the lid of the case. There is a place to wire an LED on the board. No soldering required.)
